Fresno's Nuclear Option II

Plans to build a nuclear power plant in Fresno are moving along. A local group hopes to apply for a federal permit by the end of this year, and they've hired experts to help with the design and application process.
A recent national poll indicated that roughly 70% of the American public sees nuclear power as a factor in our future energy production.

Sex on the Net: Busting the Connection

Local women blatantly advertising sexual acts for cash on the Internet is a trend that's exploding right here in the Central Valley. They could be your neighbors, co-workers, or even a family member. However, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department is cracking down on the illegal activity.
In a KSEE 24 Special Assignment, reporter Pamela Crego went along with undercover officers during a sting operation to bust the online prostitutes.

Anna Nicole Smith Dies

Former model and actress Ana Nicole Smith died Thursday at the age of 39, after collapsing at a South Florida hotel.
Smith rose to fame after marrying 89-year-old billionaire oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II, who later died, sparking a bitter family feud between Smith and Howard's son over his fortune.
Smith had been in the news recently after her 20 year-old son died suddenly following the birth of her daughter.
Authorities said Thursday an autopsy is still pending to determine Smith's cause of death.
